Mission Statement
To raise money to help rebuild houses for musicians and low-income families in New Orleans left homeless by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. To celebrate the music, spirit, and culture of the Crescent City. To bring together under one roof, a diverse group of New Yorkers - Brooklynites, New Orleans ex-patriots, community members young and old - for celebration and a good cause. To recreate the particular (and particularly exhilarating) feeling of a musical event in New Orleans. Proceeds will go to New Orleans Habitat for Humanity. |
